The role of the Lodge of Opportunity is to unite Fishing Freemasons and supporters of the Masonic Fishing Charity under a central banner.
To promote the work of the Charity and to assist in expanding its work into other Provinces thereby bringing a fishing and countryside experience to more people with ‘Special Needs’.

Additionally the Lodge supports other masonic and non-masonic charities by collections, raffles and donations from its members.
The central Masonic Charity run by Grand Lodge is the Masonic Charitable Foundation which supports people throughout the Institution, National and International Charities and helps with aid for worldwide disasters and appeals.
